The philosophy of the PROMISEDLAND EDUCATIONAL ACADEMY is God-centered which views that all is God's truth; and that, His truth is revealed in the Bible which is the inspired, infalliable and inerrant Word of God. God has created and sustained all life and things for the purpose of glorifying and enjoying Him. Since man is a sinner by nature and by choice, he cannot glorify God through his own efforts. This is why he needs to be reconciled back to God by accepting His Son. The Lord Jesus Christ as His Lord and Savior, with which act he also becomes a recipient of God's free gift of salvation or eternal life. The PROMISELAND EDUCATIONAL ACADEMY aims to educate and develop the whole person for the glory of God. Its goal is to facilitate the development of the child: ACADEMICALLY, the school endeavors to promote high academic standards while it helps students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking, using the best integrated curriculum materials available. The objective of its instructional program is to enable the students to pursue of post-secondary education of their choice whether in college, university, or vocational training. SOCIALLY, the school aims to provide a Christian perspective on life and the whole from which will come a balanced personality and a proper understanding and acceptance of one's role in life, at school, in church and in the community. PSYCHOLOGICALLY, the school seeks to provide an atmosphere for students to develop good and healthy self-concept and provide them with rich experiences for emotional growth that will help them view themselves realistically and yet accept and love themselves as they are. The same can be achieved only when students find acceptance with God through a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. PHYSICALLY, the shool aims to give the students opportunities to learn good health practices. They are made aware that Christians are responsible to God for their bodies; and that, they need to give their bodies the best possible care for God's glory and service and for their own well-being. In sports and athletics, they are taught to practice fair play and display good sportmanship. SPIRITUALLY, the school's responsibility for the students encompasses the spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical areas, which make up the whole person. These are viewed as inseparable, and through them all, runs the thread of the spiritual. Although the Bible is taught in Christian educational classes; yet, in teaching, the tendency to teach the Bible only on the intellectual level alone must be avoided since the spiritual must permeate all areas of the students' lives and thus, avoid being textbook-oriented and not student-centered. |
